O Canada and hockey- now THAT is Canadian.
I was just reading some history about Canada Day; I guess being a 73 baby I never really noticed before age 9 that it was called Dominion Day first! In 1982 it was "officially" changed to Canada Day... In fact our parents and grandparents may remember that the holiday didn't really gain momentum or popularity until after the World Wars. It wasn't until 1958 that the government began running celebrations...

Very disappointed in Google, though... don't they usually have neat graphics to celebrate things like this? I thought Google Canada would at least link to some Canada Day sites and or have some nice graphics like they do EVERY year for Canada Day .... Except, apparently, TODAY!!!
Who's driving Google's bus?!?!?!?!? tsk tsk tsk. Very unprofessional, Google.
