'Course, most bloggers don't blog for notoriety. They blog as a sort of online diary - to read themselves think, to hear themselves talk. If others feel the need to reply or add comments, even better. It's always nice to hear feedback. But unless you're big on validation, it's quite unnecessary to the average blogger, I think.
